Happy Birthday DHP!

August was Denise Hurdle Photography’s birthday month! I decided in honor of my business birthday I would give away a Cake Smash Session to celebrate! I’m so glad that the internet has random pickers for these things because I could never pick a winner on my own! I want everyone to win! LOL! The Cake Smash Contest Winner was a little guy that I had done newborn photos of. He was such a cutie and so calm for his newborn session. Guess What?! He was just as calm at one as he was as a newborn!

Simple Cake Smash

I am really loving the simple cake smash sessions that I have been doing! They are clean and focus is on the little one and not the decor. Sometimes I feel like the sets get so crazy its like finding ET in the closet amongst the stuffed toys! This mama decided she wanted to go with green and loved a photo I showed her with just eucalyptus in the back. I happen to love this one too! It goes with everything since its greenery and is simple and classic! I also brought out my little washtub for a bath after (which is an option) now I have little boy bath photos to share!

Mom was so thankful that they won! This little guys birthday was just around the corner! We were able to squeeze him in just after his big day! We always sneak in a few photos before the smash whether in a separate set or the same set. It just depends on the package you choose! Honestly I love it both ways but will say the singe set is much easier on an active one year old! They get tired quickly from all the stimulation and sometimes they’re all done with pictures by the time the cake comes out! This guy however, was amazingly good and we got all the before shots in just a few minutes! He didn’t even move and he has the cutest smile. Like my grandson Cody’s smile – he smiles with his eyes! <3
