Toy Story Cake Smash!!

Oh my goodness this Toy Story Cake Smash has to be one of my favorite photo sessions ever!! I am totally in love with the simple sets I have been doing. The clean simple set with focus on the baby. But…THIS!! I had so much fun putting this set together! Between my neighbor and I we had so many of the toys!

The Story of Time…

Man time flies fast these days! I heard when I was younger time goes faster as you get older. I always thought the time is time so how can that be? It’s true!! We wait for 40 weeks for a baby and when you’re pregnant it is the longest 40 weeks ever! All you want to do is meet the little person who will become part of your family. Baby arrives and you think I can’t imagine life without this little one and that was the shortest 40 weeks (well except those last few weeks). You want your baby to reach major milestones you help them sit up and walk and talk. Then when we stop we say where did my baby go.

We are always anticipating the next thing and it seems to get to us so slowly. The reality is time is whizzing by us and we miss out on enjoying things because we’re focused on what’s to come or the busyness of life. Moral of the story – stop and smell the roses! Put down that phone and watch what’s happening in front of you! Let us photographers document the milestones and you enjoy your life with your littles because they really do grow up too fast. (Life lesson over – LOL!!!)

Smash and Splash!

I met this family 3 years ago when they had their second set of twins! I photographed their Maternity, Fresh 48 and Newborn sessions. At the time they had almost 2-year-old twin girls and the second set of twins was boy – girl. Two years later I got an email she was expecting again! This time only one baby, phew! I have watched this family grow and it seems like yesterday they walked in as parents of twin girls and now they are a party of 7! I can’t believe how fast the last year has gone!

This guy the one that completed their family – he was the perfect woody!! He was so calm and just sat eating his cake and watching his siblings as they ran around playing with the extra toys! Perfectly content just sitting! It’s a rare 1-year-old that just sits for that long!!

I always love it when parents decide to add the splash at the end of the session! Babies love bath time at this age so no matter how the smash goes the splash is almost always a hit! Splashing and maybe even a last few bites of cake while you’re in the tub! Which is what this guy decided to do! Enjoy the cutest Woody, in Andy’s room eating cake and takign a bath!
