Baby Makes Three

When baby makes three it’s such an exciting experience! A couple becoming a family for the first time is one of life’s biggest milestones. This sweet couple is now a family with the addition of their sweet baby girl! They had a rough start with an emergency c-section and a couple of days in the NICU but they are all doing great and adjusting well.

The Biggest Question...

I get many questions especially from first time parents. Before they book their session one of the biggest questions I get is “What if the baby doesn’t sleep?” My normal answer is they usually all go to sleep there are just a couple in my years doing this that didn’t and we still got great photos for them. This couple asked that question – and I gave my standard answer. They had the baby that didn’t sleep! She came in awake and hardly shut her eyes the entire time! Don’t let those sweet sleeping photos fool you…she’s only asleep in a couple of them and it was only for about 2 or 3 minutes! LOL!! It happens once in a while that a baby decides not to sleep and then they just get so tired they can’t get to sleep and they fight so hard to stay awake. This baby girl was SO tired!

Shoot when they blink

One thing I learned from Ana Brandt in my mentoring is when they don’t sleep try to catch them on the blink! That was my goal! I did manage a few blinks that look like she’s sleeping. But her awake eyes are so cute I had to get both! I even managed to get a slight smile! That’s always a win!

This little gal was a bit angry for part of her session and she didn’t hide it! Her face tells all – check out the photo in dads arms! HAHA!! This sweet couple may have their hands full with this little one! I hope you enjoy her sneak peek filled with expression!
